History of RostSMU
RSMU is a university of higher professional education and Ministry of Health and Education of Russia. RSMU is also known as RostSMU, RostGMU, РостГМУ), Rostov State Government Medical University. In 1994, the Rostov State Medical Institute which is the largest basic training, research and treatment center in southern Russia was renamed as the name of Rostov State Medical University.
Nowadays there are six faculties which provide training to foreign students. . Faculties for Foreign students: Faculty of General Medicine; 6 yrs Faculty of Dentistry; 5 yrs Faculty of Pediatrics; 5 yrs Faculty of Pharmacy; 5 yrs Faculty of Postgraduate and Continuous Education; 3-5yrs Faculty of Preparatory Course; 1 yr / 8-10 months
He/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before the 31st of December of the year of admission to the MBBS course (General Medicine). Student’s must have secondary school examinations or equivalent examination in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 65%. Student has to pass entrance exam after arrival.
